At H2O, we feel that it’s OUR responsibility to “clear the way” for college students and young adults to come to church. We want you to be able to experience the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and the awesome atmosphere that is a part of H2O . 1.) Dress casual. Most people wear casual attire. Pastor of College Ministry Pleasant Valley Church has a vibrant and thriving college ministry that draws students from the local colleges and universities; the church has a congregation of over 800 worshippers. We are looking for a full-time Pastor of College Ministry who has a passion to see young adults come to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ. We seek the following qualifications and attributes: understanding and experience of Christian education within the local church; desirable spiritual gifts of leadership/administration, teaching, and creativity; strong oral and written communication skills; and proficiency in applying technology, especially computer and media technology. Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to, communication and coordination of all college-related ministries; training, equipping, and recruiting paid and volunteer ministry workers; maintaining and growing ministries to local colleges and universities; and planning events and ministry for interaction, outreach, and nurture. This individual must also be able to work closely with the local Christian ministries such as InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, etc).
This pastor has responsibility for conducting a comprehensive college ministry designed to assist young adults in maturing in their spiritual commitment as it pertains to the 5 Gs: Grace, Growth, Groups, Gifts, and Generosity.
