Powerhouse Mission Statement:
To lead middle school students into a life changing
relationship with  Jesus Christ.

Methods:

Reach the community through evangelism.
Connect the students to one another through fellowship.
Honor God through worship.
Equip youth through discipleship and mentoring.
Serve the world through missions projects and service opportunities.

Sunday morning live  (SML)

Sunday mornings, 9:00-10:30 am;  Pleasant Valley Church, room 206

A program designed to:
           - develop spiritual maturity by providing in-depth teaching and discussion of God’s Word.
           - to cultivate trusting relationships through weekly small group discussion and  prayer.

 Typical morning schedule:
      9:00-9:15  Music and chat time
      9:15-9:30  Ice Breaker activity
      9:30-9:35  Worship with Music
      9:35-9:55  Bible lesson
      9:55-10:15  Small group time
      10:15  Closing and Prayer

The Holzinger Humdinger! Holzinger Lodge 6:30-8:30pm! Grill-out, games, and fun!

Directions to Holzinger Lodge (from Huff Street): Take Huff Street South across Hwy 61. Take a right at Lake Blvd. Follow Lake Blvd. past Woodlawn Cememtery. Holzinger Lodge is on the left side.  Please drive cautiously, the driveway is steep and the kids will be playing!

Every Wednesday Night, 7:00-8:30 pm, Pleasant Valley Church 

 A program designed to:
        - introduce youth to Christ and to basic principles of Christianity.
        - reach out to youth in the community who are not churched.
        - provide a positive, upbeat atmosphere of learning and growing through creative means: drama, video, games, skits, music and lessons.
        - to connect students to one another in a welcoming environment.
        - to connect students to an adult leader who consistently challenges them to grow spiritually.

  Typical evening schedule:*
        6:45-7:00  Students arrive and hang out
        7:00-7:25  Large group game or activity
        7:25-7:30  Transition (music, break)
        7:30-7:50  Segue into lesson (some thematic activity:  drama, video, etc.)
        7:50-8:15  Lesson
        8:15-8:30  Debrief, core time, snack

*The Net meets offsite on the first Wednesday of each month.

Take two drama team

Monday afternoons, 3:30-4:45 pm; Pleasant Valley Church, room 206.  All are welcome!

 A program designed to:
         -provide students an outlet for expressing creativity through skits, videos, dramas, etc. that will be teaching tools for the other Powerhouse programs.

Wild side

Wildside Leadership Study (for 8th grade only)
One Sunday/month; 6-7:30pm; location varies 

A program designed to:
        -build leadership skills in 8th grade students by offering leadership training as  well as opportunities to lead activities and events within the ministry.
